iPhone Tracker

I synced it to my computer, then turned off Location Services immediately. Location information is determined by cell phone towers rather than GPS, and update times are unclear at the moment, relying on the towers themselves and cell phone activity. So judging from just this one test, it appears that by disabling Location Services, my device was stopped from collecting information about my whereabouts.

Since we aren't sure how often location information is collected, it's possible that I just wasn't out at the right time for my data to be collected. While it doesn't seem likely, it may be possible that location data is collected differently on different networks. So at the moment, even if Apple isn't using the information collected from Location Services to track anyone, it looks like turning Location Services off will effectively end any location-related data from being collected.

"This hidden file is neither new nor secret," Alex Levinson, security researcher and senior engineer for Apple iOS-based research company Katana Forensics, wrote on his blog.

Levinson, an author and graduate student at Rochester Institute of Technology, said that prior to the "consolidated.db" file used in the iPhone 4, users' location data was stored on older iPhone models in a similar file, called "h-cells.plist."

Location logs from these pre-iPhone 4 files have been used by "various law enforcement agencies," Levinson said.

Written in 2010, before the June release of the iPhone 4, the paper explained that Apple explicitly offers location tracking ability to third-party app developers; it's called "Core Location Framework Reference."
In the terms and conditions of the iTunes license agreement, necessary to activate an iPhone or iPad, Apple writes, "Apple and our partners and licensees may collect, use, and share precise location data, including the real-time geographic location of your Apple computer or device."

The prompt makes no mention of tracking your location, but clicking "Agree" gives Apple that power.
Hypponen also believes that the iPhone sends its location log to Apple twice a day.

Nokia C2-06

The budget phone will be a dual-SIM phone,The phone reportedly lacks WiFi and 3G connectivity, however, features Bluetooth.
A site called Hackintosh-India has posted leaked images of a new C-Series slider handset that might also be categorised as Nokia Touch and Type device.

The leaked images reveal a standard mobile phone alphanumeric keypad and -a 2.8-inch (I’m guessing) resistive touchscreen display. Bluetooth and 2MP camera.

With the increase in the demand of 3G phone and Dual SIM Phone, Nokia is concentrating more towards the dual SIM Phones. Nokia C2-06 is a Dual SIM handset with Resistive Touchscreen.
This device we see in thee pictures (courtesy of hackintosh-India) would be another dual SIM phone from the Finnish phone maker.

White iPhone 4

Apple's white iPhone 4 may not be released yet, but new online videos use it to suggest some iOS features that never made it in.

The Apple-centric blog 9to5Mac soon posted another video from Tinhte showing off the particulars of the white iPhone, including the camera aperture and (via the Settings menu) 64GB drive.
In a few isolated but notable incidents, Vietnamese Websites have offered up interesting tidbits on upcoming Apple products. The white iPhone 4 is slated to arrive sometime this spring, according to multiple sources including Apple executive Philip Schiller.
In the meantime, speculation is rampant about Apple’s next iPhone and major iOS overhaul.

this time releasing several videos  of a white iPhone 4 that possesses 64GB of space and is rocking some sort of unreleased version of Apple’s iDevice software, iOS.
While it’s easy to dismiss as a jailbroken device, as 9to5Mac points out, the phone has two games, one called Radar which is an internal Apple application and the other, Tough Fighter, which is a game that Apple built to show off the device’s accelerometer and graphics.

Sure, it shows a white iPhone 4 in action, but it also demonstrates a different version of multitasking than the one found in Apple's iOS 4.
It's like the iPhone version of Exposé in Mac OS X. Unfortunately, this version of multitasking may never become part of the iPhone. As Engadget points out, the presence of internal Apple programs in Tinhte.vn's videos suggest that this is old, unreleased software, rather than an upcoming version of iOS.

HTC Sensation

HTC’s flagship Android smartphone for this year, the HTC Sensation, is reportedly ready to invade India this quarter. According to reports, the dual-core 1.2 GHz powered Android phone might hit the Indian market by May or June.
HTC Sensation 4G will feature a brand new HTC Sense version 3.0, which features new user interface that is 3D-like. Moto’s also confirmed that the Droid Bionic will include new features (maybe 1.2 GHz processor).

The new smartphone in town HTC Sensation 4G may have entered the battle a little late as there are two Motorola smartphone beasts in Motorola Atrix and Droid Bionic to face. Many of the features in these smartphones outshine the upcoming Sensation 4G.

Here is a look at the comparisons of HTC Sensation 4G, Motorola Atrix 4G and Motorola Droid Bionic.

Display:
Both Motorola Droid Bionic and HTC Sensation 4G has a display of 4.3 inches with a 540 x 960 pixel resolution but Sensation has a S-LCD capacitive touchscreen while Droid Bionic features TFT capacitive touchscreen.
Sensation 4G has other features like Gorilla Glass display, gyro sensor and HTC Sense version 3.0 UI.

Memory:
Motorola Atrix features 1 GB RAM with 16 GB internal storage while Droid Bionic comes with 16 GB internal storage, 512 MB RAM and 2 GB ROM.

Camera:
The Droid Bionic and HTC Sensation features 8-megapixel 3264x2448 pixels camera with autofocus, dual-LED flash, geo-tagging, face detection, image stabilization but Sensation has extra features like touch-focus and instant capture. HTC Sensation can capture video at 1080p.

Battery:
Once again Motorola smartphones have standard Li-Po 1930 mAh battery as against HTC smartphones Li-Ion 1520 mAh battery. Motorola Atrix 4G is featured in AT&T whereas Motorola Droid Bionic will go to Verizon and HTC Sensation will head to T-Mobile.
Motorola Droid Bionic is priced at $149.99 with a new two-year Verizon contract.

Smartphones using the same chip were promised at CES, but strong indications have emerged this morning that at least one of the phones (Motorola's Droid Bionic) has been cancelled.

On paper, the Bionic was impressive, featuring the 1Ghz Tegra 2 system-on-chip, a 4.3" display (running at HD resolution), and connecting to Verizon's lauded 4G LTE data network. Considering it is mid-2011, and problems launching dual-core phones are being seen, this might put Samsung's roadmap for 2 GHz dual-core phones by 2012 in jeopardy. That said, problems appear specific to the Tegra 2 system-on-chip, as other chip manufacturers like Qualcomm and Texas Instruments continue to push dual-core chips at OEMs. It is said to have a dual-core chip, but considering the issues with the Tegra 2 powering the Bionic, it is unlikely Motorola will cancel one phone only to release another using the same chip - it will likely have the same Qualcomm or TI hardware underpinning competitors' releases.

Chrono Days Sim Date

Author: Pacthesis
Availability: Free, Online/browser
Format: Dating Sim
Genre: Sci Fi
Rating: Teen
My Scores: (Writing: 4, Art: 4.8, Gameplay: 5) out of 5

Summary:

In Chrono Days Sim Date, you are Saige. A hole has appeared in the sky, leading 100 years into the past, and your friend's brother has invented a device to let you jump through it. What--or who--will you discover?

Review:

Writing:

One thing that impresses me about the setup is the fact that, in this game, at least three characters are candidates for "The Canonical Love Interest". Generally, in these sorts of games, either all of the suitors are equal, or one is considered "canon". Here, though, out of eight possible love interests, you have one childhood friend with a marriage promise, one long-time acquaintance with an obvious (and possibly mutual) crush, and one kind but lonely stranger who takes you into his home. The game hasn't started, and already, feelings are on the line. Let the shipping begin!

The characters themselves are well written and interesting, and it's quite easy to develop an emotional attachment to them. What's more, the cut-scenes go a long way toward developing the characters and sense of story. I'm not saying that every Dating Sim should have cut-scenes throughout, but they are something to consider and are used to very good effect here.

The time-travel concept is interesting, but the game obviously doesn't take itself too seriously here. Apparently, there is only a 100 year span between The Old West and a Jestsons-like future with AI Robots and time travel. The approach here is almost child-like, actually, with little or no attempt at basing the setting on any real or recognizable history. What's more, everyone Saige meets in the past seems pretty open-minded about her being a time-traveler from the future.

Art:

The art and animation here are exquisite. However, I wouldn't dare to call it perfect. There are a couple points where characters are, according to the context of the scene, supposed to be bending or moving somehow, but the animation consists of tilting a static figure back and forth, making the characters seem like blocks of wood. This is especially odd in light of the other cut-scene pictures and animations in the game which have the characters in different poses. In other words, it could have been done differently, in a way that didn't look so clunky. Personally, I think one or two still drawings would've had a much better effect; sometimes a simple technique used well is more effective than a fancy technique used poorly.

Also, I had to take off part of a point for the music in one scene. You may call me pedantic, if you like, and I probably am. Still, it bothered me that a clearly tragic scene - with a beautiful job on the tears, I might add - was scored with the same cheerful background music as other parts of the game. Again, since the soundtrack does change in places, this is not excusable as something the creator "simply couldn't do".

Gameplay:

This game blew me away. I feel like, for the first time, I've seen what Dating Sims have the potential to be, and it is more astounding than I could have ever expected.

This game uses its concepts. The time travel plot isn't merely a premise that introduces you to a dating sim scenario and then leaves until the epilogue; it comes back. The cut-scenes move the story along, and characters are introduced at different points, keeping it moving. You end up being able to shift between two wildly different settings at a whim, and are able to bring objects from one time into another in order to impress the locals.

Best of all for a time travel game, you can actually influence the future a little by your actions in the past. A man is going to another city. He arrives, settles down, gets married and has children, and one of his descendants returns to the old town and meets you. OR: A man is going to another city, but he remembers he made a promise to a strange girl he met before leaving.... And suddenly history is changed. It's beautiful. It's what a time-travel plot should be.

What's more, there are multiple unlockable characters, some more difficult to attain than others, giving a nice bit of challenge for those who seek it without alienating those who don't.

TLDR:

This game is a Must Play. It's not infallible, but it shows the heights Dating Sims can reach, while leaving room for others to go even higher. It's very rich in story, uses its premise beautifully, and does more with this medium than I had come to expect. Whether you're a DS fanatic or just a casual game player, I highly recommend this one.

Of course, this is all my opinion, and I'm not infallible either. You might decide it's not worthy of all my hype. Feel free to state your own opinions in the comments.

WOW....3 billion installed apps on Android

Since the presence of android as one smart phone operating system, direct android mobile operating system parallel to the upper class. and thousands and even millions of applications have been prepared to complement the sophistication of the android. such as news quote that I took from techspot.com

It took Google 20 months to reach the 1 billion apps installed on the Android platform. Five months later, the company had hit the 2 billion apps installed milestone. Now it's at 3 billion apps installed. At this rate, we'll probably see it hit the 4 billion and 5 billion marks next month. During Google's first-quarter earnings call today, senior vice president for commerce and local Jeff Huber said the platform had grown from 2 billion apps installed to 3 billion apps installed in just two months. Huber also noted that app installs are up by 50 percent quarter-over-quarter (from Q4 2010 to Q1 2011) and that Android was seeing 350,000 device activations per day.

To put the 3 billion number into perspective, Apple saw 1 billion apps downloaded in April 2009. In April 2011, the company passed the 10 billion apps downloaded mark. That's three times more than what Google has now, but the growth is not at an increasing rate.

In short, because Android phone sales are growing so quickly, Google's app downloads are going to soon catch Apple's numbers. That's impressive, given that Google's Android Market has over 200,000 apps as of December 2010 while Apple's App Store has over 300,000 apps as of September 2010. It's also expected that the number of apps for Android will also pass the number of apps available for iOS.

Because Android is open, however, the platform's users can download apps from more than one app store. For example, Amazon launched its own Android App Store just last month.

The Best Way to Play Dress Up Games

The Best Way to Play Dress Up Games
If you love dress up games, you will love playing them with a different element even more. Fashion games can be simplistic if you stick to the varieties you have always known and loved, but finding new ways to play the games is even better. The final product of the games is a creation that you can claim as your own, but what if that creation is more than a piece of paper? What if it is more than just a doll you made online? What if it is you?

Dress Up Games
Playing dress up games with a friend is much better than playing alone, but to play dress up games with a friend you will need to be pretty clear on how the game is played. Start by working on some fashions on the computer. Add style elements and work on fashions you both enjoy. Do not worry if you are creating totally different designs – that is part of the fun.

Give each other concepts and see how you both interpret them. Be as specific or as vague as you would like, both ways can be fun. Designing “Punk Princess” is just as much fun as designing “Fire and Ice” after all. Print your favorite creations and throw them into a folder you can enjoy looking at years down the road and then take your ideas and creative energy to the mall to play an entirely new version of dress up games.

Dress Up Games at the Mall
The dress up games you play at the mall are just as entertaining as the kind you play online, but this time the subject is you. You can play the same way as before with both of you creating a look to go along with the theme. There are two different options. If you both have money to burn and want to surprise the other person, start with a theme and head out on your own with a rendezvous time. Put the items you select as your outfit on hold at the store you find them in and then meet your friend.

Travel to both stores to see the outfits on. This means you do the shopping and trying on separately, creating a true fashion show at the end of the adventure. If you prefer, you can do the shopping together and simply reveal outfits along the way. Get the big dressing room or two right next to each other in a quiet store.
Pull on the outfits you have selected and see how they look. Get help from your friends to see which outfits look better than others and when you have a final outfit you both love on you or on her, snatch it up and take it home. You have scored a terrific outfit and had hours of fun with your friends in a nicely creative and meaningful way. Much better than strolling the mall without any particular purpose in mind, after all.

Ideas for a Farm Theme Dress up games

Ideas for a Farm Theme Dress up games
While surfing flash game websites these days, we can see a lot of games imitating the theme of a farm. A farm-themed party is especially popular around harvest time, which usually falls in autumn near Halloween, but these parties can be held year-round. Another popular farm-themed party is the Old McDonald children's party. Things to consider when planning your farm-themed costume are weather, appropriateness (if there are kids there, you might want to skip the revealing farmer's daughter look), uniqueness, and comfort. Stuffing yourself with hay is bound to get itchy after a while.

People
o                 The obvious choice for a costume is the farmer. Wear denim overalls or jeans and a plaid shirt underneath. Put on a straw hat, cowboy boots, and maybe a big belt buckle. Put a sun-kissed look on your face with makeup because farmers are often sunburned from being in the sun all day. If you don't want to be the farmer, dress up as the farmer's wife. Wear a long dress or skirt, cinched tightly around your waist. Wear minimal makeup, part your hair down the middle and braid it on each side. Carry around a Bible as your prop. Or you can dress as a farmer's daughter who is known to be promiscuous. Wear a short denim skirt, a button-up plaid shirt that isn't buttoned all the way, and fancy cowboy boots. Put your hair in pigtails and wear bright makeup. Children love to dress up like cowboys and cowgirls, and they can carry a stick horse for a prop. You can have a better view of these idea through a lot of dress up games designed based on this theme.
Animal
o                 Every farm has animals, and the typical animals you might dress up as are horses, cows, mules, pigs, ducks, chickens, goats, sheep, dogs and cats. The horse is a great costume for two people--one person in the front and another in the rear. Be sure to exaggerate features like putting udders on a cow and making yourself look fat if you dress as a pig. Other animals you might see on a farm are wild animals like crows--which are known to eat crops--rabbits, coyotes and armadillos. In the dress up games we play, there is usually image of animals beside the model, making the background more diverse.
Flower, Fruit or Vegetable
o                 You will stand out at the party if you dress as a flower or vegetable that you might find on a farm. Dress as a sunflower by wearing a green outfit and attaching felt flower petals to a headband. Common crops found on farms are corn, beets, tomatoes, peppers, carrots, and lettuce. You will be particularly interesting if you dress as a crop that is often found in your area. For example, if you live in California, dress as an artichoke. A good fruit costume is a grape bunch. Dress all in green, and then attach blown-up purple balloons to your clothes. To top it off, wear a green hat with twisted branches coming off it. In dress up games, sometimes the game developers arrange the colors of flowers, fruit or vegetables to match with those on the model’s clothes.
Why don’t try some farm dress up games and enjoy the wonder of nature.
